Welcome to my blog page!                                                        Back to Home

Hey welome to the blog page.

One of the best things about being a voice over is that you get to interact with all kinds of people. Whether it's face-to-face in a studio, on the phone, down an ISDN line or via email. Everyone has a story to tell and I though it would be entertaining to share some of these experiences with you.

In my radio work, I regularly get to meet and interview some big stars. I'll tell you the latest news as it happens.

2011 ended with a very busy period. At Jazz FM, I was told that George Benson available to be interviewed. I was quite nervous about talking to such a legendary artist, but on the day were soon chatting away like old friends. The result is a hour long special programme, which you can listen to be clicking here.

At home, we had a wonderful time on the run up to Christmas when we were given Microsoft goodies to play with for a competition. Here's the result!

Like all good media people, I do like to my bit of charity. On October 9th I took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Malaria No More UK. It was a truly fantastic day, really well organised and we were even blessed with perfect weather conditions for the run.

It's not too late to support me. Just £5 will enable a family to protect themselves from the mosquitos that carry the disease. Click here for my Just Giving Page.

I have really been enjoying the new Morning Show at Jazz FM. I have been meeting lots of cool stars...... like Gregory Porter.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Jazz & R&B legend Al Jarreau. I have been a fan for years. He came in to Jazz FM for a chat about his greatest hits tour and we hit it off instantly. Outside of the obvious we talked about his health scare from last year and he told me his unique technique for making coffee.... Starbucks it ain't! Look out for the flask in the shot!

Meanwhile in Voice Over Land.....Since the Royal Wedding, I have seen a big increase in the number of enquiries from American clients. I'm very pleased to say that I have been selected by a large voice over agency in the USA which has put some interesting scripts my way. Part of the fun with these jobs is to be the kind of Englishman that Americans expect to hear. A lttle more 'Pip pip' and 'Cheerio' than perhaps you might hear on the streets of London. I have auditioned for some huge names..... fingers crossed on those. I could soon be moving in next-door to Gordon Ramsey in LA!

I have just launchea new project called Showhub.tv

It's a new home for original interactive entertainment programmes. The first show is Love Letters, true life stories of sex, romance and heartbreak. Why don't you try it out?

Also, I have reunited with Dr. Pam Spurr to bring you everything you wanted to know about sex, but were afraid to ask in Sex Academy. Adults only..... it's uncencored!

There has been so much attention on the Windsors just recently; I thought I'd drop by for a visit. Sadly, the closest we got to an invitation from William and Catherine is that my wife is on Carole Middleton's mailing list for partypieces.co.uk and the closest we got to a Royal residence was the cracking view of Windsor Castle from Legoland!

Set in Windsor Great Park, there's something about Legoland that sets it apart from other theme parks. Maybe it's the majestic setting up on the Hill of the Royal Park or the fact that it tends to attract families looking for more educational than just white knuckle rides. It always seems to have a pleasant, calmer atmosphere.

My two lovelies are aged 11 & 6, so are into completely different aspects of the park. Antonia, being the oldest wants to do the roller coasters and Harry was happier with the more pedestrian attractions, such as the JCB digger game and (don't tell him I said) the fairytale boat ride!

Many families with really young kids go to Legoland because there are many more things for toddlers to do, such as run around in the water fountains while mum and dad have a well earned rest. Whatever the age of yours; don't forget to pack swimming costumes and towels.

As for the Royal Wedding, well we did get to see it …. It's just that all the royal family (and everything else) was made out of Lego!

Have a look at the video.

Lots of people have been asking me about the Michael Buble song I have been playing on the Jazz Breakfast With Nigel Williams at Jazz FM. The song is featured on the latest M&S TV Commercial and it's called 'It Had Better Be Tonight'. My wife has been singing it around the house a lot just recently, which has , one mre than one occation , led me to believe my luck was  in..... ooh err
